How PPG took on a nearly 1k hour project, without adding overtime
The Problem

The L&D team had 1900 courses they needed to convert from SCORM to HTML5 and test by end of year. With limited internal bandwidth and each course taking 30 min to convert, the team knew the incremental contractor hours required would be costly.

The hours per week for PPG contractor engagements was limited due to budget. Further, the contractors were already exceeding weekly limits, meaning this conversion project would take time away from other mission critical projects. 

The Solution

Through Upwork, the L&D team was able to engage a U.S.-based Instructional Designer quickly. They were able to complete the initial pilot request to great satisfaction within a very tight schedule, saving the PPG team time and budget.

How PPG completed a project that’s been on the backlog for years
The Problem

The Marcomm team wanted to test rebranding technical data sheets. However, the rebranding efforts on these data sheets were constantly being pushed to the backburner.

The team knew it was a worthwhile project, but with only one internal designer, bandwidth was limited. Other projects continued to come up and take priority over this rebranding effort.

The Solution

Through Upwork, Linda was able to find a U.S.-based freelance Graphic Designer quickly. The designer was able to successfully complete the data sheets in just a week. The team plans on using this designer in their effort to rebrand these documents moving forward. Allowing them to continue focusing on mission critical work.
