How Biogen is getting work done on Upwork

Biogen Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Studies Made Possible Thanks to Skilled Upwork Freelancer

The Problem

The medical device division at Biogen needed someone to lead the charge in providing a seamless experience for clinics running trials for Biogen’s Multiple Sclerosis Performance Test.

The challenge was – no one was available internally to take-on the role, and there was not enough budget to hire someone full time, or hire a consulting firm.

‍

The Solution

Biogen turned to its dedicated account team at Upwork. An Upwork Professional helped craft a job description and provided a hand-curated shortlist of candidates. Within just days, several candidates were presented to the Biogen team. One candidate in particular, Elizabeth, stood out from the rest thanks to the raving reviews on her profile, and her deep experience in healthcare.

The Impact

< 2 weeks time to engage

20% under budget

3 Day onboarding compared to months (typically)

50% Savings vs hiring a full-time employee
